About Wyoming Concierge:
Dr. Denham founded Wyoming Concierge in order to deliver affordable and accessible healthcare to the people of central Wyoming. Based out of Casper, Wyoming, Wyoming Concierge seeks to provide primary care the old-fashioned way- via a physician who knows you, knows your medical needs, and is available for both routine and urgent appointments. Dr. Denham’s vision is to provide high-quality, evidence-based healthcare to the insured, under-insured, and uninsured people of central Wyoming.
Dr. Denham recognizes that, even for people who are insured, access to primary care physicians is limited. With traditional primary care clinics, it can be difficult or impossible to get timely access to your physician. You can wait weeks or months for a routine follow-up visit. Getting same-day appointments is impossible, and often urgent complaints will get a referral to an urgent care or the emergency room. Such visits can be time-consuming, costly, and often unnecessary. Dr. Denham wants to be available to his patients and is always a phone call away. Dr. Denham can see patients at home, in their place of employment, in his office, or via video visit (aka telehealth visit).
About Dr. Denham:
James D. Denham, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician. He was born and raised in Dadeville, Alabama. Dr. Denham and his brother are first generation college students. Dr. Denham followed in his brother’s footsteps and attended Auburn University, graduating magna cum laude with a B.S. degree in microbiology in 2014. He stayed an additional year at Auburn in the graduate school and earned his M.S. degree in microbiology in 2015. He then attended medical school at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Denham was academically successful in medical school, and was inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society as a junior. He was also inducted in the Robert A. Good Honor Society at the University of South Florida. Prior to graduation, he received the Philip T. Gompf Award from the USF Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine. Following graduation with his MD in 2019, he completed his residency training in internal medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he studied with world-leading researchers in all disciplines of internal medicine.
Initially eyeing a career in infectious diseases, Dr. Denham decided to remain a generalist during the COVID-19 pandemic as it ravaged Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Denham and his wife Emily realized that big city living was not for them, and opted to complete his residency training in 2022. They decided to move out west and live a life focused on time together and time in the great outdoors. Dr. Denham has practiced hospital medicine here in Casper since 2022. He is the associate director of hospital medicine at Wyoming Medical Center and also serves on the peer review committee for Banner Health’s western division.
